FTC ceramic
The chip is shielded, not only the housing.
Fluorescent transparent ceramic is applied on the LED itself, so ammonia and hydrogen sulfide meet a crystal layer before they meet the die.
Corrosion resistance
An inorganic ceramic layer isolates the chip from ammonia, acids, alkalis, hydrogen sulfide, steam and salt mist. Validated for 168 hours at 90% relative humidity and 15 ppm H₂S.
Thermal stability
At 250 °C, internal quantum efficiency falls about 15% on the ceramic substrate and about 45% on silicone. Returned to 25 °C, ceramic recovers its original performance; silicone keeps an irreversible loss above 10%.
Thermal conductivity
Conductivity above 20 W/m·K is about 100 times silicone at 0.2 W/m·K. LED junction temperature runs 3–10 °C lower.
No color shift
Phosphor is held in the ceramic matrix, so the spectrum stays put: no sedimentation, low SDCM deviation and no yellow halo over life.
Mechanical durability
Hardness close to sapphire, for impact and abrasion from wind-borne particles, with the ceramic machined for stable optical focus.
